Gorgeous Brooke came in during the summer of 2024 after she was trapped by a Salt Spring resident.  Poor Brooke was happy living on the farm where she was trapped, but the property owner did not want her there.  It took many months of work by her foster mom to show Brooke that life with people is good.  Although she can still be startled by loud noises or quick movements, Brooke is now easy to handle and loves chin scratches and head rubs.

 

Brooke is a quiet cat who likes being around people.  She will play with other cats (in her foster home), but is also content to watch the action rather than jump in and play.  Brooke’s ideal placement would be with a person who would spend time bonding with her and continue to build her trust of people.  We would be happy to consider a foster-to-adopt placement for Brooke, so that we can support her adoptive family as Brooke settles in with this.

 

Just look at that cute face and try to say NO to Brooke……it’s impossible!  Brooke is waiting for someone to take her home!

 

Brooke has been neutered, vaccinated (FVRCP and rabies), treated for fleas and parasites, microchipped, and screened for FIV / FeLV.
