ELSIE
Elsie is a gorgeous long-haired dilute tortoiseshell cat who was trapped as a pregnant colony cat in the late spring of 2024. Just days after she was trapped, Elsie gave birth to the loveliest kittens. But Elsie had never been handled before and needed some time to learn to trust. Her colony caretaker tells us that Elsie was the matriarch of the whole colony. Elsie is approximately 3-4 years old.
Fast forward to December 2024, and Elsie has done very well in foster care and has softened a lot. She LOVES to play with toys, but only in the evenings after the sun has gone down. Elsie spends her days sleeping in her bed in the sun or curled up in a quiet corner of her foster room.
Elsie is so lovely and rolls over for belly rubs when she feels safe. A PURRfect home for Elsie would be one where she would have a safe space of her own and a patient adopter who appreciates how much Elsie’s life has changed over the past few months. Someone who puts in the time to bond with Elsie will be rewarded with a very loyal companion.
We would be happy to consider a foster-to-adopt placement for Elsie. She has been spayed, vaccinated (FVRCP and Rabies), microchipped, treated for fleas and parasites, and screened for FIV / FeLV.
