Norman will melt your heart. He is such a wonderful cat who now just needs and wants love and a warm lap.  Norman came into our care after having a hard life surviving on his own at the south end of Salt Spring Island.  When we first met him, he was thin and had many wounds and scars from fights with other cats and animals.

Norman was initially guarded, but he quickly relaxed after his rescue.  His whole body softened, and at one point he reached for his foster mom with his paw and his head, as if to say “thank you for saving me”.  Norman is also FIV positive. Unfortunately, there are FIV positive cats living in the area where Norman was found, and at some point (likely in fights with an FIV positive cat), Norman contracted FIV himself.  However, FIV is NOT a death sentence.  FIV positive cats can live long and normal lives.  Norman will need to be kept as an indoor only cat for the rest of his life (unless his adopter might want to build a catio for Norman).

We are happy to place Norman as a lifetime foster, whereby we would cover all future vet bills for Norman. We can also provide food and other supplies.

Norman has been neutered and vaccinated (FVRCP and Rabies), microchipped, and treated for fleas and parasites. Please help us give Norman the love and pampering that he deserves!  Once you meet him, you won’t be able to let him go. Phone / text – 236-508-2287; email – info@catsofsaltspring.com
