During this busy season, all of our available and coming available cats and kittens are often not up on our website. The most current information is included on Facebook and Instagram, as well as PetFinder and Victoria Adoptables. Please check in there for the most up-to-date scoop!

ADULT CATS AND KITTENS ARE AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION! Please submit your adoption application if you are interested in adopting any of our adult cats or kittens.

Adoption fees for our cats and kittens range from $250 -$400. These fees depend on the age of the animal and the level of sociability. We also offer reduced fees for kittens/cats adopted in pairs. Adoption fees may be waived for older/senior cats. All kittens are spayed/neutered, vaccinated for FVRCP (1st & 2nd vaccines), treated for Fleas and Parasites, and Microchipped. If you are interested in any of our upcoming kittens, please don’t hesitate to complete our ADOPTION APPLICATION. We spay/neuter at approx. 12 weeks of age. Kittens are available to go home once they are spayed/neutered.

*Please note that we are required to charge and remit BC Provincial Sales Tax(7%) on all of our Adoption Fees.

Given the volume of cats and kittens that come through our Rescue, we are unable to maintain complete listings of adoptable animals on our website.  To see all of our currently available felines, please visit:

MOG & YUSUF

This amazing pair of 3 1/2 year old orange tabbies was recently surrendered to us as their owner was moving and unable to take the cats along. They are absolutely the sweetest and most gentle cats. We are looking to place these boys together.

This wonderful 7.5 year old girl is looking for an adopter who likes to chat. Because Smokey is a conversationalist! She happily chirps and meows as she tells you all about her day. Smokey loves to be with people - right in the middle of the action!

I'm excited for dinner

BONFIRE

This playful young male came in with his two sisters, Flame and Smoke, who have just been adopted. Bonfire is a sweet cat, but somewhat hesitant for handling.  He has the cutest face! Bonfire really enjoys playing with other cats in his foster home.

Pretty Girl came into our care in 2023 through our Colony Management work.  Pretty Girl was an estimated 6 months when trapped, and had clearly never had human contact. She was placed in one of our experienced foster homes for socialization together with another cat.

These two gorgeous girls also came in through our Colony Management work last year. They are both gorgeous long-haired tabby cats. Petunia has socialized more quickly than Cupcake, but Cupcake is progressing slowly. Both girls are gentle and quiet cats...

Contributions to Cats of Salt Spring Rescue Society will assist us with helping cats in need here on Salt Spring Island. All funds received go directly toward covering the costs associated with assisting cats in our care (veterinary expenses, food, and supplies).
