ADULT CATS AND KITTENS ARE AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION! Please submit your adoption application if you are interested in adopting any of our adult cats or kittens.

Adoption fees for our cats and kittens range from $250 -$400. These fees depend on the age of the animal and the level of sociability. We also offer reduced fees for kittens/cats adopted in pairs. Adoption fees may be waived for older/senior cats. All kittens are spayed/neutered, vaccinated for FVRCP (1st & 2nd vaccines), treated for Fleas and Parasites, and Microchipped. If you are interested in any of our upcoming kittens, please don’t hesitate to complete our ADOPTION APPLICATION. We spay/neuter at approx. 12 weeks of age. Kittens are available to go home once they are spayed/neutered.

*Please note that we are required to charge and remit BC Provincial Sales Tax(7%) on all of our Adoption Fees.

Given the volume of cats and kittens that come through our Rescue, we are unable to maintain complete listings of adoptable animals on our website.  To see all of our currently available felines, please visit:

  2. Browse our cats and kittens available for adoption.
  3. Complete and submit our ADOPTION APPLICATION.
  4. Get ready for a call from one of our adoption counsellors.

Cats of Salt Spring Rescue Society may wish to complete a home check (in person or virtually) prior to finalizing a placement decision.

Ultimate adoption placements are determined on a BEST FIT basis rather than a first-come, first-serve basis.  Many factors are considered when making placement decisions.  Please know that we have the best interests of our cats and our adopters in mind and be patient with our enquiries and decisions. Contributions to Cats of Salt Spring Rescue Society will assist us with helping cats in need here on Salt Spring Island. All funds received go directly toward covering the costs associated with assisting cats in our care (veterinary expenses, food, and supplies).
