CLASSROOM/YOUTH PROGRAMS
Engaging and educating young cat aficionados is one of our biggest passions. We support teachers in our community by providing age-appropriate content and activities to help students learn about animal welfare and how they can help support cats right here on Salt Spring Island. We are also happy to work with other community organizations such as Brownie/Girl Guides or Beavers/Boy Scout groups. Help us inspire our younger community members about animal welfare and helping cats here on Salt Spring Island.
COMMUNITY PROGRAMS
The needs of the cats in our community and the interests of Salt Spring Island residents drive our community-based education workshops.
- Do you want to learn how to build an appropriate winter shelter for cats in your neighbourhood?
- Do you want to learn about microchips and maybe even get your cat microchipped?
- Do you just want to see some fuzzy kittens and learn about how to socialize a new kitten?
WE ARE ALWAYS INTERESTED IN NEW IDEAS FOR COMMUNITY-BASED PROGRAMS!
We would love to work with you, our community members to design, develop and produce workshops or seminars that are both fun and educational.

SUPPORT OUR WORK
Contributions to Cats of Salt Spring Rescue Society will assist us with helping cats in need here on Salt Spring Island. All funds received go directly toward covering the costs associated with assisting cats in our care (veterinary expenses, food, and supplies).
We are incredibly grateful to this community for your continued support! We rely solely on donations from the public and fundraising events to sustain our programs and operations. If you wish to contribute, there are several options, including E-transfer, Paypal and even Paper Cheque!
