FOSTER PROGRAM

The Cats of Salt Spring Rescue Society Foster Program is a network of volunteers who bring cats and kittens into their homes for a variety of reasons:

  • Cats or kittens needing socialization (“learning to live with people”)
  • Very young kittens requiring specialized care (such as bottle feeding)
  • Care for cats / kittens recovering from medical procedures
  • Palliative/end of life care for elderly or terminally ill cats or kittens

We carefully match animals requiring fostering with volunteers who can best meet their needs. We provide ongoing support throughout the process to ensure that the foster experience is successful for both the cats/kittens and the humans!

Please note that fostered animals MUST be kept separate from other owned animals and must NEVER be let outside. In addition, we would request that all other animals in the foster home be up-to-date on required vaccines prior to beginning fostering.

If you are interested in fostering, please complete our FOSTER APPLICATION.

If you have specific questions about our foster program, please CONTACT US!

SUPPORT OUR WORK

Contributions to Cats of Salt Spring Rescue Society will assist us with helping cats in need here on Salt Spring Island. All funds received go directly toward covering the costs associated with assisting cats in our care (veterinary expenses, food, and supplies).

We are incredibly grateful to this community for your continued support! We rely solely on donations from the public and fundraising events to sustain our programs and operations. If you wish to contribute, there are several options, including E-transfer, Paypal and even Paper Cheque!

WE ACCEPT E-TRANSFERS!

E-transfers can be made to our email address:  info@catsofsaltspring.com

This is the easiest way of contributing to our organization.
