Handsome Dale has recently come back into our care after being adopted by the most WONDERFUL couple.  Several months after he went home, his adopters noticed that Dale was losing weight and drinking an excessive amount of water.  Testing revealed the Dale is now diabetic.  Unfortunately, his adopters were not in a position to manage care of Dale, and felt is best to surrender Dale back to us.

Dale is an absolutely WONDERFUL and GENTLE companion cat.  He LOVES to be with people, but is not overly demanding.  Dale loves his toys and will happily play with them on his own before sprawling out on the carpet or the couch for a nap.

Diabetic cat care is something that can definitely be managed at home.  It requires twice daily insulin injections, which are easily done with Dale.  Diabetic cats do best on a specialized diabetic diet.

We are ABSOLUTELY available to place Dale as a LIFETIME FOSTER.  The foster family would need to provide the love and care (including insulin injections) and the Rescue would provide all food and cover all veterinary costs for Dale.  This amazing cat DESERVES a loving home where he can live with a family of his own.

We need someone in our community to STEP UP and work with us to give Dale the life he deserves.  If you would like to meet this handsome guy, please reach out. Text / call – 236-508-2287 or email – info@catsofsaltspring.com
